Exposed

6 years old - the earliest I can recall of holding a still camera. I loved it eversince. Dreaming of clicking the square stuff all day. Fast forward to 20plus years later. I still don't have the friggin' thing. I don't know what happened in between those years. The videocam was the next-in thing, mobile phones filling out everyone's pockets, mobile phones with cameras, losing the passion and the memory of when I forgot about it. Until recently, with these pictures:

What is happening here?

Does she really look sad?

I love sitting down and just taking pictures of whatever stuff I can imagine of. What would people think if they see it.

The first picture was taken while we were cleaning the room during a lazy Easter afternoon. The second one was when my wife wanted to have black and white pictures to be posted in her friendster page. She said "I need to look serious in this one". The last two pictures was during Valentines day when we had a very bad argument about not doing anything on heart's day. She took the car keys and skidded off to nowhere leaving me confused and with a camera.

I've had a client before who takes pictures for a living. Man I want that job! So, along with expecting a bubu in the next two months, Lei said why not buy a DSLR?

So here are my choices:

1. The Nikon D90

I've tried taking a look at Canon's EOS series but to no avail I ended up with one choice. I never bothered going for Olympus, Pentax, or any other brands. Besides, all of them do the same thing. With regards to why I chose this one? If you haven't clicked the link you wouldn't know why. Or let me just give one reason: Imagine an SLR taking videos.

I'll be posting a lot of pictures from here on. Sample a video perhaps?

ARGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

I'M TOO DUMB TO POST WIDGETS!!!!!!

I'M TOO BACKWARDS TO KNOW THIS FREAKIN XML LAY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Philippine Airlines

I've been itching for 2 years to post this. Drum rolls please...

the Philippine Airlines snack pack!!!!!!!!!! uuuhhhhhh yeah!

Do the math for the items (of course you have to consider their prices 2 years ago) and 20 pesos total would be hefty enough for a double dose. We paid more than 3 gran for the flight. I mean at least we should have had a decent snack. A jolly kiddy meal perhaps? With a toy please?

On the other hand, let me give props to the first ever airline in Asia - at least we had snacks, at least the wings of the plane that you are relying your life with is not flapping unlike its competitors...

Why would I say "at least" in the first place. It's our national carrier.

Heard something like this too:

"Their in-flight staff are supposed to look lively and young. How are they supposed to do that? They're old! If you take a look at their right arm tattoos, you can read be-here-till-death."

Here's a couple more:

The Fat PAL moron
The thirsty PAL Traveler

If I've written this after the flight I could have added more "heart". How could the first ever, oldest airline company in Asia crash? I know. Aren't we all sick and tired of talking about the doomed system.

They used to have beautiful ads on TV a decade ago though.

Anyway, I got over it.

So there was not much point in posting this.

Made me think, if it's itchy, should it be scratched?
